Amasa Mexican Kitchen Now Open in Downtown Alpharetta

Amasa Mexican Kitchen is now open at Alpharetta City Center, bringing its Baja California-inspired, seafood-forward approach to downtown Alpharetta.
Led by owner Juan Calle, Chef Joey Vazquez and the TQM Hospitality team behind Chichería Mexican Kitchen and Buena Vida Tapas Bar, Amasa draws inspiration from Baja California, where coastal Mexican cooking meets California influence. The fully gluten-free menu includes oysters, ceviche, ahi tuna tostadas, carne asada fries, California burritos and Amasa’s signature Baja fish taco, winner of Best Taste Entrée at the 2026 Taste of Alpharetta. The focus on fresh, thoughtfully prepared ingredients extends to Amasa’s tortillas, made daily from heirloom organic blue corn prepared in-house and hand-pressed to order. The same approach carries over to the bar, where tequila and agave spirits take center stage alongside classic margaritas, signature margarita flights and handcrafted cocktails.
On Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026, Amasa will open its rooftop, giving guests another space to gather over tacos, margaritas, tequila and agave spirits. The weekly lineup is just the start, with more experiences planned throughout the year, including live music, tequila dinners and classes, cocktail events, salsa dancing and collaborations with local businesses and chefs.
Beginning in mid-September, Amasa will introduce a new weekly lineup of specials and events. Family Night launches Monday, Sept. 14, with a free kids meal for children 10 and younger with the purchase of a $15 adult entrée for members of Amasa Insiders. Taco Tuesday + Trivia begins Tuesday, Sept. 15, with general trivia at 7 p.m., plus $12 taco plates, $10 house margaritas and $25 Mexican beer buckets.
