Charleston Chefs Take the Stage at Gunshow's Hired Guns Series on June 22

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, Gunshow’s acclaimed 2025 Hired Guns dinner series welcomes Charleston-based chefs and restaurateurs Jill Mathias and Juan Cassellet, co-owners of Chez Nous and Malagón Mercado y Tapería. This duo brings their shared culinary vision to life through two distinct yet complementary concepts. At Chez Nous, they curate a daily changing menu of rustic European comfort food inspired by the flavors of Southern France, Northern Spain and Northern Italy. At Malagón, Cassellet draws from his Spanish heritage to offer a lively menu of traditional tapas, showcasing authentic techniques and premium ingredients sourced from both Spain and the Low Country.

Gunshow, a 2023 and 2024 MICHELIN-recommended restaurant, is known for its interactive, lively dining experience. Hired Guns was started in 2013 as an innovative way to introduce some of the country’s top chefs and showcase their unique cooking styles and personalities along with the restaurant’s featured items.

A limited number of tickets are available for the 8:30 p.m. seating for guests to experience Mathias’ and Cassellet’s signature dishes alongside Gunshow’s dynamic team, led by chef de cuisine Cody Chassar.
