Summerhill Ushers In December 2025 with Festive Pop-Ups, Holiday Menus and Celebrations
Summerhill is turning up the cheer this December 2025 with holiday pop-ups, spirited parties, winter menus and celebratory dining across the neighborhood. From cozy Christmas hideaways and masquerade balls to prix fixe traditions and community programming, here’s what’s happening in Summerhill this month:

Halfway Crooks is bringing a double dose of holiday cheer to Summerhill with two new seasonal experiences.
Boeven Bar, the brewery’s first holiday pop-up, will take over the downstairs space Dec. 3–Jan. 11, 2026. The room will transform into a maximalist Christmas den filled with cheeky nostalgia and branded décor. Guests can expect festive cocktails, the return of the brewery’s Christmas ale Boeven and limited-edition glassware and gifts perfect for stocking stuffers and host presents.
Upstairs, Halfway Crooks will host its inaugural Boeven Ball on Dec. 20, a holiday masquerade formal featuring DJ Folkstar, passed hors d’oeuvres with paired drink tastings and surprises throughout the night. Attendees will receive a bandit mask, wristband and welcome schnapps before hitting the dance floor.
For a more laid-back celebration, the brewery will throw a casual holiday dance night with DJ Larmarrous during its monthly Got That on Vinyl party on Dec. 8.
Little Bear is closing out the year with expanded service and several beloved holiday events.
Beginning Dec. 2, the restaurant will add Tuesday dinner service, moving to seven nights a week.
Little Bear will also reopen on Christmas Eve and Christmas Night for its annual Jewish Chinese Christmas Prix Fixe events. The restaurant will ring in 2026 with a fancy New Year’s Eve prix fixe on Dec. 31, followed by regular dinner service on New Year’s Day. Reservations are available via Resy.
Wood’s Chapel BBQ will again offer its Christmas catering menu, featuring smoked entrées such as rosemary and garlic beef roast, sorghum glazed spiral ham and apricot and maple glazed duck, plus vegetarian sides and a gingerbread cheesecake. Orders are due Dec. 16 at 5 p.m., with pickup on Dec. 23 from noon to 5 p.m. an may be placed online. The restaurant will also debut an “Elf” holiday popup running Dec. 1–31, complete with themed décor, cocktails, dishes and a photobooth for “Elfies.”
Aviary Beauty & Wellness will launch a 20% off gift certificate promotion for Cyber Monday. The discount will be available for online gift cards starting Dec. 1.
Organized Neighbors of Summerhill will host Winterfest on Dec. 13 from 4-6 p.m., bringing seasonal cheer to Georgia Avenue with family-friendly activities, photos with Santa, entertainment and holiday treats.
GVG Events will host another edition of Summerhill Sundays on Dec. 14, offering the perfect opportunity for holiday shopping with local artists, vintage curators and handmade artisans.
