Summerhill Celebrates September 2025 with Beers, Sweets and Seasonal Sips

Atlanta’s historic Summerhill neighborhood is ushering in the fall season with a month full of celebrations, sweet indulgences and comforting seasonal flavors. From lively Oktoberfest festivities to new ice cream creations and cozy tea lattes, here’s what’s happening in Summerhill this month:

Halfway Crooks’ Oktoberfest Celebration

Halfway Crooks invites the community to join in its month-long Oktoberfest celebration from September 11 through October 5. The brewery is bringing a lineup of festive events to its Biergarten:

  • Sept. 11, 2025: Oktoberfest kickoff with a special Stitchfass keg tapping and DJ night (5–9 p.m.)

  • Sept. 13, 20, 27 & Oct. 4, 2025: Live music in the Biergarten (3–7 p.m.)

  • Sept. 19, 2025: German American Chamber of Commerce Polka Concert

  • Sept. 11–Oct. 5, 2025: Weekly food specials released every Thursday

With music, beer and Bavarian-inspired bites, Halfway Crooks is the neighborhood’s go-to spot for Oktoberfest cheer.

Big Softie’s New Peanut Butter Hardshell

Big Softie is adding a nutty twist to its soft serve creations with a new peanut butter hardshell. The team recommends pairing vegan oat vanilla soft serve and peanut butter hardshell in a cake cone, the perfect sweet-and-salty treat to savor this season.

Little Tart’s Hojicha Latte

Little Tart is bringing a cozy new beverage to its seasonal menu: the Hojicha Latte. Similar to a matcha latte but crafted from finely ground roasted tea leaves, this drink delivers a subtle nutty and smoky flavor, lightly sweetened with housemade vanilla. Available hot or iced, it’s the perfect sip for the transition into fall.
