Willy's Turns Up the Heat with Give $5/Get $5 Fundraiser Benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta
Willy’s Mexicana Grill and Howlin’ Willy’s Hot Chicken are once again supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA) youth with its 10th annual Give $5/Get $5 fundraiser and BGCMA’s Salsa, Salsa! showdown. To mark its 30th anniversary, Willy’s is turning up the heat with a goal to raise $30,000 in just 30 days.
From May 24-June 22, 2025, guests who donate $5 will receive a $5 coupon to use on a future visit to Willy’s Mexicana Grill or Howlin’ Willy’s. Over the years, Willy’s has raised more than $235,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs initiatives, which teach kids and teens how to eat balanced diets, stay physically fit and build healthy relationships.
“As we celebrate Willy’s 30th anniversary, we’re proud to continue our tradition of giving back through our partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs,” said Samantha Bryan, Senior Director of Marketing at Willy’s. “This milestone year is the perfect time to rally our guests and team members to help us reach our boldest goal yet. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the health and well-being of kids in our communities.”
Along with the 30-day Give $5/Get$5 promotion, the excitement builds on June 24 with BGCMA’s much-anticipated Salsa, Salsa! showdown. This year’s “Salsa, Salsa!” will be held at BGCMA’s John H. Harland Club in Atlanta. BGCMA youth teams will face off in a high-energy salsa showdown, using ingredients from their Club gardens to create the ultimate salsa sensation. The winning salsa, as judged by a guest panel including Joe Ippolito, President of Willy’s, will be featured at a local Willy’s Mexicana Grill for all to savor. Ippolito will also present a check from the Give $5/Get $5 fundraiser.
“Willy’s has been an incredible champion of our mission, and we’re thrilled to host Salsa, Salsa!,” said Lauren Odom, Director of Community Engagement at BGCMA. “This event gives our kids the chance to shine—whether in the garden, the kitchen or in front of a cheering crowd—all while learning valuable lessons about nutrition, creativity and teamwork.”
