Grindhouse Killer Burgers Opens in Atlanta's Upper Westside on Jan. 14, 2026

Grindhouse Killer Burgers has opened its newest location in Atlanta’s Upper Westside on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The new restaurant is located at 1221 Chattahoochee Avenue, at the corner of Ellsworth Industrial Boulevard and Chattahoochee Avenue. Owned and operated by partners Alex Brounstein and Johnny Farrow, the 7,000-square-foot restaurant marks the brand’s sixth standalone location and continues its expansion within the Atlanta market. The restaurant is located on a prominent corner parcel adjacent to Selig Enterprises’ The Works and features dedicated parking for dine-in patrons and takeout convenience.

Founded in 2009 by Brounstein at the historic Sweet Auburn Curb Market, Grindhouse Killer Burgers is beloved for its proprietary Certified Angus Beef blend of chuck and brisket, available in a variety of signature burger styles or customizable to guest preferences, including the recent addition of grilled chicken breast as a customizable protein. To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 guests to visit the location will receive a free Grindhouse Style Jr. Burger featuring American cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, pickles and grindhouse sauce.

“The Upper Westside has a strong sense of community, and it felt like the right place for our next location,” said Alex Brounstein, partner at Grindhouse Killer Burgers. “The rooftop is an important part of our restaurants, and this one was designed as a comfortable place to enjoy good food and drinks. We’re looking forward to serving the Upper Westside.”

Brounstein and Farrow enlisted Studio SOGO Architecture to design the expansive two-story building which features spacious indoor and covered outdoor seating areas on the ground floor for quick-service dining and families, as well as a full-service rooftop bar and patio, a signature element of the Grindhouse concept. Reserved for guests 21 and over, the second floor is ideal for sports viewing, with multiple large-screen televisions and designed for extended dining and drinks with the shaded rooftop patio.

In addition to its standalone locations across Atlanta and Athens, hungry travelers can enjoy two satellite locations of Grindhouse Killer Burgers located in concourses T and D at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Through its expansion of catering services and food truck program, the brand also partners with the University of Georgia’s athletics program to serve fans at Sanford Stadium and other university sporting events. In 2025, Grindhouse expanded its presence at Truist Park with three locations, including the Outfield Market and sections 315 and 335.

“Alex and Johnny have built an iconic Atlanta brand, and we are excited to welcome them as a tenant in the Selig portfolio,” said Mindy Selig, Co-CEO of Selig Enterprises. “This location is the perfect place for Grindhouse and they are a great addition to the community.”

Upon opening, the Upper Westside location will be open Wednesday – Monday from 11:30 am – 10 pm. To learn more about Grindhouse Killer Burgers, please visit grindhouseburgers.com.
