Doug Turbush’s Restaurants Return for Takeout and Delivery in Marietta
After closing for two months, Seed Kitchen & Bar and Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar in Marietta have reopened their doors for takeout, curbside pick-up and delivery via DoorDash. The new takeout menus feature family meals for four ranging from grass-fed beef and pork meatloaf to a Maine Lobster Roll party.

These are my gringo Mexican pigs in a blanket (choncho means “chunky” or “chubby”). I brought them to a Cinco de Mayo party one Sunday, and they disappeared in seconds. It’s a very highbrow recipe that starts with Pillsbury crescent roll dough. You know it’s classy when you start with that! Just slit some smoked sausages, stuff them with Jack cheese and jalapeños, and then wrap them in the dough. Brush with garlic butter and bake the little piggies. A final sprinkling of cheese and smoked paprika is the gourmet touch. Viva Mexico!

Chef Kevin Gillespie Partners with “Meals of Love” for Families in Need
Atlanta Public Schools (APS) superintendent Dr. Meria Carstarphen has collaborated with local nonprofit organization I’m a Father F1rst to create the “Meals of Love” initiative, which provides access to nutritious, chef-prepared meals for APS families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Kevin Gillespie, the chef behind Atlanta’s Red Beard Restaurants and star of Bravo series “Top Chef,” is lending his culinary and hospitality skills to the cause by preparing dinners in support of student nutrition.
