New Restaurants Springing Up Around Atlanta

Does the not-so-fine layer of pollen covering everything you own and love have you second guessing your enthusiasm for springtime in Atlanta? We have the prescription: a new crop of restaurants springing up in neighborhoods all over the metro Atlanta area. These new restaurants are nothing to sneeze at either; from fresh, Asian inspired dishes at Wagamama to modern American cuisine at 5Church Buckhead, there’s sure to be a new hotspot coming to a neighborhood near you this spring and summer.

Buckhead

The team at 5Church will be opening a second location in Buckhead this spring. The popular modern American restaurant and hot spot will serve its special brand of inventive cuisine and gracious hospitality at 3379 Peachtree Road. Guests can expect an elevated approach to the Buckhead menu, and some of 5Church Midtown’s most popular menu items will be featured at the new location. New dishes offered only in Buckhead also will star in an exciting array of not-to-be-missed items.


Trilith

Enzo, a new Northern Italy-inspired, chef-driven steakhouse and bar concept from Andrea Montobbio and Carmine Noce, is set to debut this year in the Town at Trilith, the burgeoning arts community in Fayetteville, Georgia. Adjacent to Trilith Studios, the sound stages best known for bringing big-screen Marvel film hits including “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Endgame” to life, Enzo will bring chef-driven seasonal flavors to the rapidly expanding development that is quickly becoming a home to film artists and other creatives.

Buckhead

Postino WineCafe, the eclectic, all-day wine bar and cafe, will soon open in Buckhead. Postino offers a selection of wines by the glass and bottle all day, making it perfectly acceptable for guests to enjoy a glass at just about any time, underscoring its mantra that “Drinking Wine at Lunch Is Not A Crime. The varied menu is made for all occasions with a bevy of charcuterie boards, bruschetta, sharable “Snacky Things,” salads, panini and desserts.

Slabtown Public House

Old Fourth Ward at the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail

Just in time for springtime outings on Atlanta’s ever-bustling BeltLine, Red Beard Restaurants founding chef Kevin Gillespie—a current finalist for James Beard Foundation’s Outstanding Restaurateur Award—and president and chef Marco Shaw are set to unveil Slabtown Public House, the team’s newest culinary venture, opening April 22. Located off the Atlanta BeltLine’s Eastside Trail at 670 DeKalb Ave., it will have a great selection of draft, canned and bottled beers and house-crafted original cocktails. Slabtown’s menu will feature casual pub food using high-quality ingredients. Guests can look forward to nachos, a burger and Gillespie’s famous Closed on Sunday chicken sandwich. The eatery will serve weekly and seasonal specials, but a large part of the menu will be a “greatest hits” selection of staples drawn from Red Beard favorites.

West Midtown

Wagamama, a renowned restaurant brand featuring fresh, Asian-inspired dishes served in a vibrant, social setting, announces its first Atlanta location will open at the newly-built Star Metals District in West Midtown. Inspired by the best of Asia, Wagamama’s menu features a wide variety of cooked-to-order noodle dishes, signature ramens, shareables, fresh juices and craft cocktails.

Yeppa&Co

Buckhead

Pietro Gianni and Stephen Peterson, co-owners of popular Italian concepts Storico Fresco, Forza Storico and Storico Vino, are expanding their footprint in Buckhead with the opening of Yeppa&Co, in Buckhead Village this summer. The eatery will serve traditional Italian food and drinks with an emphasis on cuisine from Rimini in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region.
